Which Dosha Are You? | | To find out which dosha you correspond to, print out and then complete the following questionnaire. Read each question carefully and place a check in the box of each quality that describes you. When deciding, keep in mind that this test is to understand the fundamental you, not the "occasional" you. At the end of the test, total the number of checks in each dosha. The dosha with the most check marks is your dosha. Do not be surprised if you have high marks in two doshas. This is common. Many people are Pitta-Vata or Vata-Pitta or any other combination of the doshas. It is more rare to be equal in all three doshas. | | | You are a Vata if | | | You are Pitta if | | | You are Kapha if | | | | Now that you know your dosha, visit our Dosha Profile page for hints on what foods and lifestyle changes can bring your constitution into balance. | | References: | | | | Lad, Vasant Dr., Ayurveda, The Science of Self-Healing (Wilmot, Wisconsin; Lotus Press, 1984) Verma, Vinod Dr., Ayurveda, A Way of Life (York Beach, Maine; Samuel Weiser, Inc., 1995) Morrison, Judith H., The Book of Ayurveda, A Holistic Approach to Health and Longevity (New York, New York;Fireside, 1995) Chopra, Deepak M.D., Perfect Health, The Complete Mind/Body Guide (New York, New York; Harmony Books, 1991) Raichur, Pratima, Absolute Beauty, Radiant Skin and Inner Harmony through the Ancient Secrets of Ayurveda (New York, New York; Harper Collins Publishers, 1997) | | |
